Adobe Premiere Pro’s automated speech-to-text engine provides industry-leading transcription accuracy. However, exporting captions often leaves editors with .srt files formatted with timing lines that are difficult to convert into article copy or social media write-ups.
Exporting Captions from Premiere Pro
- Open your project and select the Text workspace.
- Under the Captions or Transcript tab, click the three horizontal dots (More Options) icon in the top right.
- Select Export > Export to SRT file...
- Choose your destination folder and click Save.

DaVinci Resolve Workflow
